South Branch is Chicago’s hottest weekday gathering spot, and newest and boldest riverside event space. Envision lavish outdoor parties in the warm summer sun or holiday parties where the sprawling views of snow falling on the Chicago River accentuate the occasion. Big enough to host the largest affairs, but versatile enough to accommodate many smaller gatherings at once, South Branch can handle groups from 20-500. Closed to the public on the weekends, South Branch is exclusively available for private events.

Choose from our diverse menu offerings or your own current caterers. Customizable professional grade a/v and sound system available. South Branch offers many areas to perfectly accommodate your occasion. The Pavilion Bar & Patio, Main Dining Room, Private Dining Room, The Monroe Bar & Outdoor Riverside Veranda are available to book on their own, or combine spaces for a larger gathering. Our venue can be completely customized to guests liking on the weekends.

Pavilion Bar and Patio
An oasis in the heart of the city, nestled beneath the skyline. Limited reservations are accepted on South Branch’s patio for groups of 20 or more with start times between the hours of 1:30 and 4pm, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. South Branch does not accept patio reservations on Thursdays or Fridays. Patio reservations do not guarantee inside space in the event of inclement weather and minimums do apply. Inquire about a private seated event for up to 175, or a standing reception for up to 300.

Main Dining Room
Flexible floor space for your ideal arrangement, seamless transition between the bar & dining area, elegant full service 50 foot main bar and large floor to ceiling windows with views of the river. Our main dining room can accommodate seated groups for 120 guests or provide cocktail reception space for groups up to 200. Happy hour events can be booked Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday with start times from 1:30 to 5:00pm; Thursdays & Fridays from 1:30 to 4:30pm. Minimums to reserve this space do apply.

Private Dining Room
Private but not secluded, our private dining room can accommodate seated groups for 10-20 guests or a standing event for up to 30 guests. The room features a display of our beautiful wine room, 2 large mahogany board tables, floor to ceiling glass doors, flexible seating and dedicated control of a 60" flat screen TV equipped with a/v capabilities. Dinner and happy hour reservations are accepted from 1:30 to 7:30pm. A food and beverage minimum of $175 per hour applies to book this space.

The Monroe Bar
Ideal for after work meetings, social gatherings, cocktail receptions, etc. Features a soaring stone fireplace, long mahogany communal tables and direct access to the outdoor riverside veranda patio. The Monroe Bar can accommodate seated groups for 40 guests or provide cocktail reception space for 60-75 guests. Happy hour events can be booked Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with start times from 1:30 to 4:30pm and Thursdays and Fridays from 1:30 to 3:30pm. Minimums to reserve this space do apply.

Outdoor Riverside Veranda
Expansive river views, lush planters, a private outdoor space and an atmosphere conducive to conversation make the Riverside Veranda an ideal location for after work outings, group parties, fund raisers, etc. Dedicated waitress service provides the ultimate customer service experience for groups of 12-40.

Private Group Events
South Branch’s unique space is perfect for private weekday and weekend events. Whether you are hosting a company outing, planning a wedding, organizing a charity event, or just celebrating with friends, South Branch is the perfect place to host large group gatherings. With our riverside patio and pavilion bar, spacious Main Dining Room, and chic Monroe Bar areas to choose from, South Branch has everything you need to execute any type of event. 100 guests are required to book a private weekday or weekend event. Minimums do apply.
